Car whore

I'm retiring the big body for a Honda Accord. Dennis got a deal on this Accord from a customer. It needed an all over paint job and she just bought a new Corolla. She sold it for what the dealer was willing to give her on trade-in. She didn't take good physical care of the car, but she kept the oil changed and all the other mechanical needs serviced. Each wheel was all beat up and looked awful. They painted the car this week and put a new windshield in it. I got new wheels for cheap and bought a nice stereo for it. I drove it home tonight and I love it. My old Accord was a V6 coupe. This one is a 4 cylinder sedan. I'm happy its not a V6 as mine only got about 18 m.p.g. I'm also happy to have a car that doesn't require premium fuel. It has high miles, but shouldn't be a problem at all based on all the maintenance records. Its Heather Mist (almost champagne) with tan leather. I have a detail job today so I'll probably get it in there and clean the inside of it too. It could definitely use it! Jamie called me a car whore. I admit I am. I'm an Ernspiker!

These hybrid moments

I am sitting here at the apartment. Jamie and I went out to Exile tonight and had a really good time. My leasing office is just as bad as the jackasses downstairs. The jackasses wrote down Rob's license plate number the other night and turned it into the office! Pathetic. His car was there less than 5 hours and when they came back there were other spots available. The ever so anal apartment office ran his plate and got his home phone number!! They left him a message to call them, but didn't say what it was regarding. He said they were rude from the time they answered. He told them about the threatening note and said he didn't think he'd be coming back. I don't know what all they said to him, but isn't that total harassment?
With more fuel on the fire, I wasn't even considering coming here tonight. We got here around 2 and lo and behold, the dicks' cars are both gone! I guess they went to make their family miserable in Loudon, TN. I just took Jamie home and I'm about to call it a night.
I miss my Moe. I'm getting a headache.
We sung some new lyrics to Nelly Furtado's "Say it right." They were all making fun of the leasing staff and the dicks. "You don't mean nothing at all to me. You keep paying rent while I'll be living free....You just keep on calling the cops on me." That's really the only appropriate one I can type.

Disgruntled renter

It all started the week I moved in. After a few days there I came out to my car one morning to find a note on my windshield that read, "KEEP THE FUCKING NOISE DOWN!" I was pissed to say the least. I wouldn't have minded a nicer written note, but this one had me going. Which neighbor did it? I was mad at all of them. I later noticed that my passenger door had been keyed below my mirror! I don't tend to have any enemies. I felt sure it was the tenants in 9906. Since then I've had the cops called on me twice. Mind you, I never had a single complaint during my 13 month lease at my other apartment! Both of those times it was just Jamie and myself there. The last time we weren't loud at all! We were sitting at my bar, talking, and I had music on upstairs with the bass turned down. This was around midnight on a Friday. I even asked the cop if it was really that loud as I didn't bother to turn it down before answering my door. He smiled and pointed down.
All this is enough to make you feel like you have to walk on eggshells in your own apartment. To add insult to injury, I got a message yesterday to call and schedule an appointment with the property manager to discuss these complaints! I haven't called to set the appointment yet, but after tonight...I think I will do just that. I got a letter at my door today from the apartments. It is the second of it's kind that I've received. They call it a "14 Days Notice to Cure." Basically it says I have 14 days to not have any complaints or they'll evict me. These assholes are just miserable with themselves. They're older and live in an apartment smaller than mine. He works and she stays in all day with nothing better to do than complain. They haven't had a single visitor since I moved in. I have many questions for the property manager. I want to know how long my apartment was vacant before I moved in. I want to know how long they've been there and when their lease is up. My friend parked in the parking space next to mine tonight. The spaces have our addresses painted on them, which is really idiotic since there aren't many apartments, spaces, or long distances from the apartments to the lot. I knew that this bastard had called the cops on the girl that just moved in because someone helping her move had parked in HIS spot! I had a feeling that there would be a note on Rob's car when we got back tonight. Sure enough! It was the same paper used in the first note with the same sloppy handwriting. This one was just as hateful: "YOU ARE IN MY SPOT ASSHOLE! DON'T DO IT AGAIN." I started to call the cops then and say I've been threatened. I just don't take pride in disputes and drama so I decided against it. I did decide to stay the night at the parents' though. I didn't want to risk my car being keyed again.
At this point, eviction sounds like music to my ears! Not to mention money in my pocket! I'm fed up. I'm not that loud. When this all started I moved my stereo up to the loft to get it off the floor. These people just want to try and make me as miserable as they are. Before I leave...I want to get some nice wind chimes for my balcony for my final days. Why pay $730 a month when jail is free? That's what this feels like to me; a prison cell!
I really wish I could've got to that girl that just moved in next to them before she signed her lease! I'm sure she'll have more run-ins with them as well. She should've went to apartmentratings.com!

My cat's a total baby

I left last night to go stay at the parents'. I usually take Molson with me, but he didn't seem to want to go. He ran behind the t.v. when I went to get him. I left him food and water. It was just an overnight stay! I came home tonight and he was all over me. He wouldn't shut up. His food bowl was emtpy and he had thrown up a little bit in my kitchen floor. He really doesn't like being alone for any period of time. I had to go back out to the car to get cat litter and take my trash out. He started crying as soon as I shut my door. He's not like other cats that don't want you to bother them. Moe wants attention and affection. What I thought was just a kitten phase is no longer a phase. He sits on the toilet or on the side of the shower and sometimes cries until I get out. He just laid on my chest tonight and fell asleep. Such a baby!

Keeping Up Appearances

I had a wonderful weekend. I hadn't hung out with Jamie in a few weeks. We got together Friday night and went to Los Chubascos. Sarah and Briannah came out on Saturday. We had lunch at Los Chubascos and she cut my hair. She didn't have intentions on staying the night, but I think I helped persuade her to do so. I had plans to go shopping with Brad, but other than that I was fine with a night in. Out of nowhere Leslie calls and we invited her to come join us. She hadn't been to my apartment yet. She and Brad were my first visitors at my last apartment. She was single and without children back then though. Leslie had no intentions on staying the night either. We convinced her she should. I didn't know if Brad had plans after the mall. It turns out he didn't. A new tenant had moved in a week ago downstairs. Saturday night she had her blinds open and an apartment full of girls! "I'm gonna be knockin' on their door tonight," exclaimed a brazen Brad. We left our girls at my apt. and went to the mall. Brad made haste getting down to the new kids on the block as soon as we got back. This was rare! Brad hadn't even had one beer! It turns out the girls were going out for birthday celebrations. I wasn't feeling too sociable so I kept my introverted self upstairs. Brad came back upstairs shortly before the ladies' departure. That was the end of that.
We really had a good time. I love my cousins. Leslie and Sarah are like my sisters. I'm thrilled we can still have a night together even with husbands and children in the picture. One of the things Sarah brought up was how they used to come stay for days when we were little. I used to want to stay with them as much as they wanted to come stay with me. We'd spend time outside in the pool or riding bikes, but most of the time was spent listening to music and making tapes. I wish we had a video camera back then. We didn't get one until 1990 or '91. I was and still am the only one of my family that knows how to use one. At least we've got plenty of pictures, memories, and each other!

Nose divin', Vandyver

Tonight's my second night of class. That means 9 or 10 more Thursdays to go. Woo hoo. I've had no relief this week with my head. I'm now starting physical therapy twice a week with Ms. Ralston. I'll be there in the morning. The TMJ doc gave me some muscle relaxer yesterday to help me sleep and keep me from clinch mountain. I took it at 9 (i.e. NINE times) last night and it seemed like I tossed and turned all night. I had bizzarre dreams as well.
I need to write a paper on pros/cons of revamping the judicial system if anyone cares to give me some input. Until then...peace and cherry angiomas to all!

I'm not sure

No email address

I just got re-enrolled in school on Wednesday. Classes actually started on Tuesday. I don't have any Tuesday night class so I lucked out on that. Also, based on experience, most online classes have assignments due usually on Sunday evenings or on the following Monday or Tuesday. I was shocked to discover today that the Financial Mgt. assignments are due at 6 p.m. on Fridays!
I cancelled my 5:30 chiropractor appointment so I could get home and get this done before 6. I ran into more trouble. I have my school login information saved on Internet Explorer at work. So, I have totally forgotten my password! The jackasses at Sullivan have yet to get my email back up and going and the online website sent my password to my school email address! I had emailed school earlier today about my email not working. Hopefully Dr. Flegle (that's the professor) will be understanding about this situation. I'm going to have to have his assignments done by Wednesday nights in order to get them in on time.
I've got plenty to read this weekend. I have Public Speaking tests due every Tuesday and they only give 15 minutes to take them!

Scar Tissue

I went to my TMJ/P.T. people today. I hadn't been in two weeks because I felt too bad to go the week before and I was out of town last week. I was telling the therapist where the pain was in the back of my head and jaws. She always works with those areas, but today she found a lot of scar tissue right in the center of the back of my head. There was also some above my right ear, on the left side of my neck, and just below my neck! She massaged each area for about 4 minutes at a time, trying to break it up. I'm not tender headed so it kind of felt good. She kept asking if she was being too rough. Of course not! I felt really good the first couple hours afterward. Now my headache is back and I'm about to take something for it.

2006

I've been meaning to blog, but I've been too busy or too tired to do it. I'm glad 2006 has come and gone. I feel good that I got ten classes out of the way last year. I got rid of my car payment and moved out, again. I got to see Motley for the second time and Aerosmith for the first. I finally bought an iPod. I came close to going to jail. 2006 wouldn't be complete without getting nailed in the ass by a drunk.
