Keeping Up Appearances

I had a wonderful weekend. I hadn't hung out with Jamie in a few weeks. We got together Friday night and went to Los Chubascos. Sarah and Briannah came out on Saturday. We had lunch at Los Chubascos and she cut my hair. She didn't have intentions on staying the night, but I think I helped persuade her to do so. I had plans to go shopping with Brad, but other than that I was fine with a night in. Out of nowhere Leslie calls and we invited her to come join us. She hadn't been to my apartment yet. She and Brad were my first visitors at my last apartment. She was single and without children back then though. Leslie had no intentions on staying the night either. We convinced her she should. I didn't know if Brad had plans after the mall. It turns out he didn't. A new tenant had moved in a week ago downstairs. Saturday night she had her blinds open and an apartment full of girls! "I'm gonna be knockin' on their door tonight," exclaimed a brazen Brad. We left our girls at my apt. and went to the mall. Brad made haste getting down to the new kids on the block as soon as we got back. This was rare! Brad hadn't even had one beer! It turns out the girls were going out for birthday celebrations. I wasn't feeling too sociable so I kept my introverted self upstairs. Brad came back upstairs shortly before the ladies' departure. That was the end of that.
We really had a good time. I love my cousins. Leslie and Sarah are like my sisters. I'm thrilled we can still have a night together even with husbands and children in the picture. One of the things Sarah brought up was how they used to come stay for days when we were little. I used to want to stay with them as much as they wanted to come stay with me. We'd spend time outside in the pool or riding bikes, but most of the time was spent listening to music and making tapes. I wish we had a video camera back then. We didn't get one until 1990 or '91. I was and still am the only one of my family that knows how to use one. At least we've got plenty of pictures, memories, and each other!

Beautifully put! A night like Saturday could not have been orchestrated if we'd tried. It's good to know that the fun we had on Edgin and Manassas can still exist at the Willows of Plainview decades later! Your cousins love you too by the way:)
**sniff** I'm getting all mushy inside!, that was sooo sweet, not only of the blog, but the comment too!
I only have one question, did I read correctly that you referred to yourself as an INTROVERT? Oh, puh-leeze!! Not YOU!!
