Living Dead Girl
I don't recall ever going to a funeral visitation where there's no body. I've been to visitations where the deceased was going to be cremated, but there was still a showing. My Mom's cousin died over the weekend. The visitation was last night. I only recall meeting the lady once when I was way younger. The whole thing just felt odd. I didn't see anyone crying. Everyone was just gathered around and talking amongst themselves. There was a bulletin board up with different photos. I'm not complaining. I was glad to not walk into a room where everyone was sobbing. That's no good, especially when you're practically a stranger!
I bring all this up because my Mom has said for years that she wants to be cremated. I don't know if I really want my body burned. Maybe I'll have mine donated to a wax museum or they can just lay it out in a field for forensic research.
I just couldn't get sense of closure, if there's no body. And, how could you not go to your own parents' funerals? Bitch.

Who died?
I'm all for cremation also. A visitation beforehand is okay, if you want to spend the money.
