My dad and I are meeting my mom for lunch at P.F. Chang's this past Friday. We get there and I park next to mom's car. When I get out of the car I think I'm hearing things. Is her car running? I open the unlocked passenger door and sure enough, the key is on! I turned the car off and locked it up.
I asked her what was wrong with her. She said she hadn't driven all week and the car was so quiet she guessed she didn't notice!
Among other things forgotten, we're sitting there and I say, "Hey don't you two have an anniversary coming up?"
"It was yesterday." Mom grimaces.
"It was?" My dad asks.
I just laughed. They never make a deal of their anniversary. I guess I'm so proud that they're still together that I'm the one that keeps track of it. Sometimes my mom doesn't remember either.

So how many years have they been married now? Gosh, I can remember when they were just dating... shows how old I am!
Thanks. I believe they've been married 27 years. Yep, I'll be 27 this year.
